No. NoriZite® products are medical devices, not medicines or vaccines. They do not contain active pharmaceutical ingredients.
How long does the nasal layer last?
In laboratory and human volunteer studies, the polymer layer has been detectable for up to 6hours, with an apparent half-life of about 4 hours. Duration varies by person and situation.Follow the label for re-application.
Can NoriZite® stop me from getting sick?
No product can guarantee you will not become unwell. NoriZite® is designed as an extra physical barrier layer. Use it alongside other measures and follow public-health advice.
Does it contain preservatives?
Yes. NoriZite® nasal sprays include benzalkonium chloride and potassium sorbate at low concentrations to maintain product quality after opening.
Can children use NoriZite®?
Use NoriZite® Nasal Spray Kids only as directed on the local label and with adult supervision.For babies and very young children, Rinofast® Baby is the rinse-first option for cleansing.
Can I use NoriZite® if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
Please consult your healthcare professional before starting any nasal product during pregnancy or breastfeeding. NoriZite® is a drug-free physical barrier and does not contain active pharmaceutical ingredients.
Can I use NoriZite® alongside my prescription nasal spray (e.g. steroid spray)?
We recommend applying any prescribed medicated nasal spray first and allowing it to be absorbed for at least 15 minutes before using NoriZite®. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if unsure.
What is the minimum age for NoriZite® Nasal Spray Kids?
NoriZite® Nasal Spray Kids is intended for children aged 3 to 12. For infants and younger children, please use Rinofast® Baby, which is a gentle saline cleansing spray and does not contain the NoriZite® barrier system
Does NoriZite® contain preservatives?
Yes, to maintain stability and safety after opening, NoriZite® contains low levels of benzalkonium chloride and potassium sorbate. The concentrations are in line with regulatory guidance for nasal sprays.
Is NoriZite® vegan / animal-free?
NoriZite® nasal sprays are free from animal-derived ingredients. The gellan and carrageenan polymers are derived from seaweed and microbial fermentation.
How should I clean the spray nozzle?
Wipe the nozzle gently with a clean tissue after each use. Do not rinse with water or submerge the bottle. Replace the cap immediately after use.
Is it normal to have a slight runny nose after use?
A brief sensation of moisture is normal. This is the soft-matter layer settling on your nasal lining.
Can I use NoriZite® every day?
Yes, NoriZite® is designed for everyday use during high-exposure periods. Follow the re-application guidance on the label.
What is the shelf-life after opening?
Please refer to the Period After Opening (PAO) symbol on the product carton and use within the indicated timeframe.
Will NoriZite® interfere with my sense of smell?
No. NoriZite® forms a thin soft-matter layer and does not block olfactory function.
Does it contain fragrances or artificial colours?
No fragrances, no artificial colours.
Is NoriZite® tested on animals?
No. All testing has been conducted using in vitro tissue models and human volunteer studies.
Can I travel with NoriZite® (e.g. on a plane)?
Yes. Each bottle is under 100ml and complies with standard carry-on liquid rules for commercial flights.
What should I do if I accidentally use too much?
NoriZite® is a physical barrier spray. Using more than the labelled amount will not increase protection, but is unlikely to cause harm. If you experience any discomfort, please contact your healthcare professional.
